What a Collection!

The Premier Estates Wine Collection range is a wonderfully diverse selection of varietals from across Italy. Italy is the second largest producer of wines in the world with an enormous amount of its own native grapes with over 1,000 varieties in commercial use.

As well as its own native grapes, Italy produces a wide number of International varieties as well, these include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Riesling.

There are 20 Italian wine producing regions, each having a certain degree of autonomy. The general rule is that wines produced in the north of Italy tend to be lighter and more elegant due to the cooler climate, whilst areas in the South will generally produce richer and fuller wines, with more pronounced flavours.
