Hallo-wine-Prosecco-Grand-Rose

Grusomely Great Spooktacular Sparklers

Well, we're sure that you have your Halloween party preparations well under way and you're looking forward to scaring the living daylights out of your guests or fellow party goers with your wickedly wonderful cocktail creations.

As promised, here are some more grim and gory ideas for enhancing your devilishly delicious sparkling wine. No tricks here, just treats that are sure to have everyone screaming for more!

Witches Brew

This gooey green concoction looks pretty gruesome but tastes really great. If you can't easily get hold of lime sherbet, ordinary sherbet is fine - just add a touch more limeade concentrate. Slimy and limey!

You will need:

• Lime sherbet      • Limeade concentrate     • Premier Estates Prosecco

It's so simple to put together this Halloween cocktail. Just put a shot of limeade concentrate in a glass and add the Prosecco and sherbet until a lovely slimy texture is achieved. It still needs to be drinkable mind, so don't go too mad with the sherbet!

The Black Horror

This creepy cocktail will have the recipient screaming with delight. It's a dark and decadent drink with a Halloween kick!

You will need:

• 1 shot of aniseed or licorice liqueur      • 1 shot of blackcurrant cordial
• Premier Estates Grand Rosé      • Black food colouring      • 1 cup sugar

Make some black ice cubes using the black food colouring for a great effect in this dark drink. Mix some sugar, black food colouring and a tiny drop of water together for the glass rims. Add the blackcurrant cordial and liqueur and mix together, then top up with Grand Rosé. Enjoy!

Blood Orange Sangria Fizz - Serves 4 to 6

You will need:

• 6 fresh blood oranges      • 2 x 75cl bottles of Premier Estates Prosecco
• 1 cup club soda      • 1/2 cup of brandy      • 12 fresh strawberries, sliced
• 12 fresh raspberries     • 1 apple, chopped      • Sugar, for the glass rim

Zest one of the blood oranges and mix it with the sugar in a bowl. Juice four of the blood oranges and discard any seeds or pith. Chop the remaining blood oranges into wedges. In a large pitcher, mix the Prosecco, brandy, blood orange juice, club soda, apples, strawberries, raspberries and blood oranges. Stir well. Place the orange sugar on a plate, then run an orange slice around the rim of each glass. Place each glass rim in the sugar to coat it. Put a few ice cubes in each glass, then add some of the fruit from the sangria. Pour in the sangria and serve!

This blood orange sangria gets better as it sits, so try to make it ahead of time and store in the fridge. Tastes great, looks scary!

Vampire's Brew - Serves 4

You will need:

• 2 cups raspberries      • 1/4 cup sugar      • A shot of vodka
• 1/2 a shot of amaretto      • 1 cup of orange juice
Premier Estates Grand Rosé      • 4 plastic syringes

Puree the raspberries in a blender. Press the puree through a fine strainer to remove the seeds. Mix the puree with the sugar in a saucepan over medium high heat. Stir frequently and cook until the mixture darkens and thickens. This should take about 10 minutes. Then chill in the fridge until ready to use.

Add the vodka and amaretto to a cocktail shaker with crushed ice and shake until very cold. Stir in the orange juice and Grand Rosé. Pour into iced glasses. Fill the syringes with raspberry syrup and place in glasses before serving for a truly gruesome and ghoulish garnish when squeezed into the drink!

We wish all our customers a Happy Halloween and very much hope that you enjoy those parties or have fun chilling out with a loved one whilst watching creepy movies. Have a frightfully good time!
