    Premier Estates Wine

If you’re looking to buy wine for a party, or even wine for your wedding, you’ve come to the right place. Don’t be fooled into the myth that you have to buy wholesale in order to grab yourself a bargain, at Premier Estates Wine our wines are at a competitive price all year round. We don’t sell our wines to any of the big supermarket chains, preferring instead to sell them online ourselves or through independent retailers throughout the UK. This way, our wines are never heavily discounted just for holiday periods, meaning fair prices for our customers every day of the year.

Just because our wine range is good value for money, don’t think the quality suffers in any way, we source great quality wines from the major wine producing countries around the World and bring them to you, for your convenience. A lot of our customers tell us that they find buying wine a complicated process, our philosophy is to find the great wines so that you don’t have to.

We have tried to create a balanced range of wines that we’re sure will have something that will appeal to every palette.  We place our wines into a simple two tier range: Collection (bottles with the black cap), a wonderfully diverse selection of varietals from across Italy and, Discovery (bottles with the gold cap), a premium range with Chilean, Californian, Australian and South African varietals.

We also have a delightful range of sparkling wines fit for any celebration with Cava, Grand Rosé and our award winning Prosecco all available. Our Prosecco Extra Dry was recently awarded a bronze medal by the International Wine Challenge, the IWC is accepted as the World's finest and most meticulously judged wine competition, this evidences the exceptional standards we insist on from our winemakers.

How much wine should I buy?

For a party use the old calculation of ½ bottle of wine per person, per 2 hour period. If you’re hosting a dinner party or event that will spread over a much longer period, the general view is to allow for 1 bottle per person. Most importantly, be honest about the guests you’re inviting. If they’re a rather sedate and unassuming bunch, tweak the amount down a little, if they’re a bunch of party animals – well you get the picture.

A wedding involves a bit more thought and further calculations, will you just be serving wine during your wedding dinner or will you be serving it throughout the evening as well? Will you be providing bubbly for the toasts and will you be serving bucks fizz to guests on arrival?

It’s always safe to serve at least one white and one red during your wedding dinner. If you want to push the boat out, why not offer a choice of rosé as well? Rosé has become increasingly popular over the last few years. If you are supplying sparkling wine for the toasts, divide the amount of guests by 8, this should be a sufficient amount of bottles.

One thing to make sure you don’t do is run out of wine, you’re far better off having a few bottles left over than ending up a few bottles short. The chances are your wine bill will end up being far less than you’d spend on the flowers for the day, and being honest, what will your guests enjoy more?

One last word of caution, check beforehand that your venue will allow you to bring your own wines, if they do, they may well charge what’s called a corkage fee, be sure to take this into account when planning your budget.

So whatever your event, be safe in the knowledge that Premier Estates Wine will have a wine that will fit the bill. We offer FREE next day delivery on all orders placed online before 2pm. So what are you waiting for, let’s get this party started.
